Thursday night the Chatham High School varsity fencing teams beat the Butler Blades in a home match at Chatham Middle School.
This was the team's first year in existence and their third match. Butler's fencing program was resurrected in 2007.
Their record now improves to 1-2 on the season. They next compete on Saturday at the Morris County Fencing Tournament.
