Sierra Club to Discuss Public Access to NJ Beaches
The Sierra Club presents Martin J. McHugh, a professor at Kean University’s Center for Sustainability Studies and former Director of NJ’s Division of Fish and Wildlife and NJ DEP legal counsel. He will be discussing the legal battle for public access to New Jersey beaches and the role of the Public Trust Doctrine as a foundation for many statutes and policies to manage natural resources and protect the environment.
The meeting is Wednesday, May 11 from 7:30pm to 9pm at The Library of the Chathams, 214 Main St., Chatham. Attendance is free and open to the public. For more information, call 908-233-2414.
