Rachel's Challenge

On October 7th, Chatham High School students will experience 2 assemblies of Rachel's Challenge.  The Challenge will be offered to parents and the community-at-large (children grade 7 and up are welcome) in the evening.

Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999.  Rachel's legacy, modeled after her short life and her writings, is a universal message of kindness and compassion.  The 1-hour presentation motivates listeners to positive change in the way they treat others.  To sustain the positive climate change in the school, Rachel's Challenge continues with a "Friends of Rachel" program, plugging students into activities that continue the chain reaction of kindness.  Students and adults will be invited to become "Friends of Rachel" following the performances.

Rachel's Challenge has been presented worldwide and reached more than 11 million people in live settings; it has also been featured on CNN, The Today Show, Fox News, Good Morning America, Larry King, Oprah, and Dateline, to name a few.
