GIRL emPOWERed EVENT!

                  GIRL emPOWERed EVENT

On June 16th, a large event is hapoening in Chatham.  There are three parts to the event.  The first part is a vendor sale.    Each vendor is donating $100.00  for the space and all sales will be theirs to keep.  This donation is a tax write off!  From the money raised, $7,000 will be donated to a non-profit organization in New Jersey called Sagegirl.org. .  If you are interested in being a vendor, please email: dawnpaskalides@comcast.net.   This will take place on June 16 from 10-2:00 at Lafayette Ave, School in Chatham. All shoppers will get a free chance at a raffle for an I PAD!

The second part of the event is a Girl Empowered March.  All girls k-101 are invited to participate.  I have already been fortunate to have many high school students, CMS and LAF students help me with this project.    This will take place on June 16 at 2:00 following some speeches from a few high powered women in our world!  All girls marching in the event will have a chance to win a free IPAD!

The third part of the event is very exciting!  The other $3,000 raised, will be given at graduation this June to three different girls for 1,000 each from Chatham high School.  Each girl in grade 12 can participate.

Sagegirl.org has started many programs for girls to promote empowerment in their lives.  One successful program from this organization is Girls on The Run.  This is a HUGE program now and it is currently taking place in Chatham at Lafayette and CMS. I am a mom in Chatham and have four kids.  (8th, 7th, 5th, 4th)...2 boys and 2 girls.  I am very involved in our town and after leaving the education world as a teacher and an administrator, I now have my own catering business and stay home to raise my children.  The project entitlted GIRL emPOWERed, is near and dear to my heart.  I feel it is so important that we raise our children with integrity, strength and courage to face challenges in our world that many girls face.    I would like to make a difference in the lives of girls in the great town we live in.  For more information and to register for the March or becoming a vendor  please visit www.girlempowered.net
