Free Women's Center Divorce and Family Law Legal Workshop Series

FREE LEGAL WORKSHOPS ON FAMILY LAW ISSUES AND THE DIVORCE PROCESS

Randolph NJ- The Women’s Center at County College of Morris is presenting a series of seven free workshops on family law issues and the divorce process on Tuesday evenings in April and May from 7 to 9 pm beginning on April 5, 2011 and ending on May 24, 2011. Local attorneys volunteer their expertise on issues including the case information statement, child support and alimony, mediation, child custody issues and post-divorce issues. The final session will focus on the financial aspects of divorce and will be given by a certified financial planner. Pre-registration is requested. The workshops will be held at the CCM campus in Randolph. The Women’s Center is one of 15 Displaced Homemaker Center Centers in New Jersey and is primarily supported by a grant from the New Jersey Division on Women. Funding for this workshop series is supported by grants from the IOLTA Fund of the NJ Bar Association and the Morris County Bar Foundation. The mission of The Women’s Center is to serve the varied needs of women in their quest for economic self-sufficiency.

May 3             Session 4:  Mediation and Choosing an Attorney.

May 10           Session 5:  Child support, custody, enforcement, parenting schedules, geographic

       limits.

May 17           Session 6:  Post matrimonial relief - what to do if support does not come through or

       if circumstances change.

May 24           Session 7:  Financial aspects of divorce, tax implications, retirement, pension plans,

                                           insurance, children’s education.
