Air Force Assoc 195 sponsors talk on Civil Air Patrol

On Sat., Jun 30th, at 12:30 PM, at Charlie Brown’s, Chatham Township, AFA 195 will sponsor  a talk by Major Will McLain,V, Commander, Lone Eagle Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, on his  Squadron’s activities. Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, is a nonprofit organization with more than 61,000 members nationwide, operating a fleet of 550 aircraft.  CAP performs 90 percent of continental U.S. inland search and rescue missions and was credited with saving 54 lives in fiscal year 2011.

               The Air Force Association educates the public on the critical role of aerospace power in our nation’s defense and supports the United States Air Force and its auxiliary, the Civil Air Patrol. For more information visit web sites at: www.afa.org and www.njwg.cap.gov.

               The Shooting Star Chapter, 195, of the Air Force Association meets monthly usually on the last Saturday of each month except during the months of July, August, November, and December at Charlie Brown’s, 522 Southern Blvd., Chatham Township, NJ, 07928. Everyone is welcome.
