Dover Business College Merger Expands Berkeley Medical Training

Berkeley College merger opens range of programs offered in New Jersey locations.

Students looking to study medicine in the local area will now have another option after a merger between the Dover Business College and Berkeley College was completed last month.

The merger, which was approved by the U.S. Department of Education according to Newsday, was designed to bring new programs to the Berkeley range with the addition of two new locations in Dover and in Clifton. As a result, course offerings at the Dover campus will be expanded to include programs for surgical technology, medical assisting, multi-level patient care, nursing and surgical processing.

"The location includes fully equipped nursing and patient care laboratories, simulated operating rooms, and modern medical laboratories. The building also contains classrooms, computer labs, a library, and a student lounge," according to the college website.

The Dover Business College was founded in 1958, accredited by the Association of Independent Colleges and Schools in 1974, according to Newsday. Prior to the merger, the college specialized in healthcare, IT and business programs.

The Dover facility was renovated to make room for the new classrooms, equipped for new programs.
