Construction Permit in Place for High School Addition

Excavation to begin after underground utilities mapped.

A construction permit has been issued for the planned seven-classroom addition at Chatham High School, and excavation work is expected to begin after underground utilities are mapped, district business administrator Peter Daquila said this week.

The district and contractor will work to firm up the timetable for the project, he said at Wednesday's Board of Education meeting.

Board member Matthew Gilfillan said Aug. 13 has been set as the date for completion of project.

The district awarded a $3,495,000 contract for the project to Tekton Development Corp.
