CMS Students First Runners-Up in French Video Project

Keegan McManus and Conor Sullivan continued their French teacher's winning streak in the state-wide contest.

For the fourth straight year, Madame Dr. Joan Jensen's students from (CMS) have been among the top finishers in the state-wide World Languages Competition.

Keegan McManus and Conor Sullivan, both in seventh grade at CMS, are the first runners up in the state of New Jersey in the World Languages Podcast Competition, sponsored by the Foreign Language Educators of New Jersey (FLENJ).

As a class assignment, Jensen’s French students created video presentations in French. Each class voted on their favorite, which Jensen then submitted into the competition.

“I think Keegan and Conor won because their French was beautiful and they spoke clearly, confidently and correctly. They are excellent French students," Jensen said.

The teacher hopes to show the video podcast on her profile page on Chatham Middle School's website.
