Hockey Team Moves On After State Win

Team loses 14 players from last year, but still hopes to win.

After losing a grand total of 14 players from last year’s State Championship team, the hockey team has gotten off to a solid start, and will look to improve as the season progresses.

OVERVIEW
Harvey Cohen, who also serves as Chatham’s athletic director, returns to coach the Cougars this season. Through its first four games, Chatham was 2-1-1 on the young season and had begun to successfully mix veteran and younger players. Fourteen current Cougars players are new to the varsity level this season.

LAST SEASON'S RESULTS
The Cougars won the New Jersey Group B State Championship a year ago and finished with an overall record of 22-4-3.

  • Scott Kepler, Defense (Sr.)—Defenseman Scott Kepler will be able to provide leadership alongside the talented Burke.
  • Jordan Boles, Goalkeeper (So.)—Only a sophomore, Boles’ future in Chatham is expected to be bright.
