Chatham Voters to Decide on Technology Funding in School Election

Polls will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

A second question will be posed to Chatham voters as the district is one of 26 in the state with school elections on Wednesday.

Chatham voters will decide on the district's $65,673,886 budget, which carries a 2.52 percent tax increase, and whether $460,000 should be allocated to augment the technology education program.

The $460,000 increase will “enhance the ability to provide a thorough and efficient education to the students and to better achieve the core curriculum,” according to the ballot question.

Four incumbent BOE members are running unopposed. Richard Connors, Jill Weber and Kim Cronin seek new three-year terms, while Michelle Clark is running for the final year of Al Burgunder's unexpired term.

Polls will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the high school (township residents) and middle school (borough residents).
