Megan Gesell, a member of the class of 2013 from Chatham High School, was awarded a $500 scholarship from the Art League of the Chathams.
Art League President Jennifer Duteil awarded Gesell the scholarship earlier this year. The two are pictured here together with some of Gesell's artwork visible on the mantle behind them.
Gesell will attend the University of Vermont and plans to study studio arts.
The Art League awards a scholarship each year to an outstanding art student who plans to continue studying the arts.
