Artist Brings 'Supreme Abstraction' Works to Chatham Day School

Daniel Anderson's work on display starting next Wednesday.

Noted artist Daniel Anderson's works come to Chatham Day School next week.

The artwork will be on display from Wednesday, Feb. 4 to Friday March 7. There will be an open wine and cheese reception for the artist next Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.

Anderson has a loyal collector base spanning numerous cities and countries including Australia, India, London, New York, Miami and Los Angeles. He terms his paintings as “supreme abstraction.”

"His visual capacity to explore interplay between altered or abstracted forms and their surroundings is what makes his work highly impactful," according to a statement released from the school. "Aside from pioneering an entirely new form of sculpture and painting in his 'sculpted canvas' works that provide illusion and depth to his painted movements, Anderson looks to portray motion and energy as it relates to color, light, and shadow in all of his works."

Chatham Day School is located at 700 Shunpike Road. For more information about the display, reception, or artist, call the school at 973-410-0400 ext. 16 or visit www.chathamdayschool.org or www.dvande.com.
