Interim Superintendent: Soccer Coach 'Not Let Go'
Dennis Fyffe said Gene Foca resigned of his own volition and left 'on very good terms.'
The approved all fall sports coaches put forth by the Personnel Committee, including Mark Maca as the new head coach of the boys soccer team.

“I want to be real clear about this: he was not let go. He made his own decision to do other things with his time, and therefore he resigned—on very good terms, nonetheless," Interim Superintendent of Schools Dennis Fyffe said. "There’s nothing negative about the change whatsoever.”
Foca has been a resident of Chatham since 1976. He previously worked as an accountant for Price Waterhouse.

Foca has worked with boys soccer team for more than a decade. Foca could not be reached for comment.
