RX Medication Drop-off Saturday in Morris Plains

Turn in expired drugs at Stop & Shop or Randolph Municipal Building.

Residents can dispose of old prescription medications Saturday as Morris County joins the sixth annual Operation Takeback Day program.

The Stop & Shop at 245 Littleton Rd. in Morris Plains, and the Randolph Township Municipal Building, 502 Millbrook Rd., Randolph, will operate as drop-off sites from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., acting Morris Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said.

Operation Takeback is a national initiative that encourages individuals to turn in unused or expired prescriptions, controlled substances and over-the-counter medications for safe disposal. After the event, law enforcement officials will dispose of the medications collected.
