PSE&G Project Will Close Portion of North Passaic Throughout Summer

The project will take place throughout July and August.

A PSE&G project will periodically close North Passaic Avenue between Main Street and Weston Street during July and August.

PSE&G is installing a new gas main in the area and replacing gas service lines, according to a news release. Because of that, there will be traffic disruptions in the area from July 1, when the project begins, through Aug. 30, when the project is scheduled to be completed.

Borough officials said this week that North Passaic would totally be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the two months.

The work will largely take place Monday through Friday, though there will be some work done on Saturdays as well.

About 1,700 feet of gas main and 37 service lines will be installed, according to the news release.
