Principal Outlines Need For, Benefit of Expanded Lot

Chatham High Principal Darren Groh gave a public presentation before the joint Facilities/Finance Committee on May 23 regarding the proposed parking lot expansion at the high school.

Groh outlined some of the decisions made in past years that have led to the current parking crunch at Chatham High School. Other issues caused by the overcrowding at Chatham High have been addressed, including open campus and rotating schedules, but the parking lot has remain unaltered for over 20 years.

Groh also described the application process that juniors must go through in order to be approved for on-campus parking, and how the school would intend to monitor student parking in the future.
