The mayor and council will hold the 2012 Borough of Chatham reorganization meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Some of the items on the agenda for the meeting include:
- Resolutions for professional service contracts
- Resolutions to employ new government workers, including two probationary police officers
- Appointments for members of borough boards and commissions
- A resolution to re-establish the , to be open on Saturdays from June 30and Nov. 17
- A resolution to establish a council president for 2012
- An open comment section for the public
- A resolution to establish fees for Chatham Borough picnic areas at such locations as , and
- A resolution to set dates for mayor and council meetings. The agenda lists the time and day as 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month, except on certain Mondays, such as when Monday is on a holiday, in which case meetings will move to Tuesday. The dates listed are as follows: Jan. 23, Feb. 13 and 27, March 12 and 26, April 9 and 23, May 14 and 29, June 11 and 25, July 9 and 23, Aug. 13, Sept. 10 and 24, Oct. 9 and 22, Nov. 12 and 26, and Dec. 10.
- A resolution to limit hours of use and post a "No Pets Allowed" sign at
- A resolution to allow Unionville Vineyards to hold a weekly wine tasting at the Chatham Borough Farmer's Market
- A resolution establishing pay for various borough employees
- A resolution to adopt a temporary 2012 budget, listed on the agenda as a $12 million general budget. The 2011 totaled at $13.6 million.
