Meet Board of Education Candidate Jeff Truppo

Elections for the Board of Education

Jeff Truppo is running for a seat on the Board of Education in the School District of the Chathams as a representative from Chatham Borough.

Truppo is running to fill one of two seats for representatives from the borough. Incumbent Richard Connors will run to keep his seat; borough residents Jill Weber and Albert Bozzo are also running.

Two seats are also up for election for representatives from Chatham Township. Lata Kenney is running unopposed for a one-year seat, and incumbent Alan Routh is running for a second three-year seat on the board against township resident Kim Cronin.

Elections for the Board of Education, and on the budget for the School District of the Chathams, will be held on April 27 from 2 to 9 p.m. Borough residents will vote at Chatham Middle School, and township residents will vote at Gymnasium C at Chatham High School.

April 6 is the last day to register to vote for school elections. Residents who wish to vote using a mail-in ballot, which is available through the Morris County Clerk's office, must send in their requests by April 20. The application can be picked up in person until April 26 at 3 p.m.
