Kim Cronin is running against incumbent to represent Chatham Township for a three-year seat on the Board of Education of the School District of the Chathams.
Cronin is the mother of two students in Chatham public schools and worked on Wall Street for over 25 years. She has served on the PTO and worked with former Business Administrator Ralph Goodwin on cost-saving practices for the district.
is running unopposed.
In the borough, incumbent Richard Connors will run against Jill Weber and for one of two open seats. Jonathan Chatinover, who currently serves on the board as a representative from Chatham Borough, will not run again.
Elections for the Board of Education, and on the budget for the School District of the Chathams, will be held on April 27 from 2 to 9 p.m. Borough residents will vote at Chatham Middle School, and township residents will vote at Gymnasium C at Chatham High School.
Residents who wish to vote using a mail-in ballot, which is available through the Morris County Clerk's office, must send in their requests by April 20. The application can be picked up in person until April 26 at 3 p.m.
