Local Attorney Endorses Furbish

Richard Gearhart says he has known Furbish for eight years.

Jeff Furbish is running for Chatham Township Committee.

I have personally known Jeff Furbish since my family and I moved to Chatham in 2003. As long as I’ve known Jeff, he has struck me as a person of high integrity and strong leadership abilities.

Our sons played football together in Chatham through high school, and Jeff was his coach for many of those years.  Jeff was a great coach to the team; he displayed the right balance of discipline and flexibility dealing with the boys. Jeff also acted as an excellent role model for how the boys should act on and off the field, and how to cope with both victory and defeat in a responsible, mature way.

Jeff has always been an excellent listener and will hear the views and opinions of all the citizens of Chatham.

I also know that Jeff has participated in other  voluntary activities have including coaching soccer, basketball, recreation baseball, travel baseball (both baseball teams for two years) and recreation travel football for six years. Jeff has also two years on the Open Space Committee and currently in his second year on the Planning Board.

As a Committee member he would continue support of the recreation program.  He also  supports  the very important safety volunteers in Chatham, the Emergency Squad and Fire Department.  He also favors close supervision of the Rolling Knolls Super Fund site, careful management of Chatham’s open spaces and further consolidation of the services with Chatham Borough. His background as a risk underwriter and insurance executive would lend itself well to continued fiscal conservancy and budget mindfulness.

Please support Jeff Furbish in the upcoming primary on June 7.

Sincerely,

Richard Gearhart, Esq.
