JCP&L: Free Water, Ice For Powerless

Jersey Central Power & Light customers in Sussex and Morris counties without electricity can go to the following stores for free water and ice.

JCP&L said people should identify themselves as customers without power at each stores' front desk.

As of 10:33 a.m. Wednesday, about 33,000 Morris County customers and 16,000 Sussex County customers were without electricity. Of the hardest hit were Morristown with more than 10,000 powerless.

Over 1,300 customers in Chatham remain without power.
