DeNave to Continue as Acting Boro Administrator

Robert Falzarano remains hospitalized in Arkansas.

Mayor Bruce Harris said there are "no changes contemplated at this time" in Engineer Vincent J. DeNave's interim role as the borough's acting administrator while Robert Falzarano recovers from a motorcycle accident.

DeNave became acting administrator April 6 when Administrator Falzarano left for a cross-country motorcycle trip. Falzarano's brother George and Charles Dziedzic, the borough ' deputy director, accompanied him on the journey.

On April 26, while returning to New Jersey, while traveling east on I-40 outside of Little Rock, Ark. , and Robert and George, both of Long Hill Township, were admitted to hospitals in the Little Rock area.

Since the accident, DeNave has continued to perform the duties of an acting administrator. Harris said, "Vince and the department heads are doing a great job filling in the gaps. No changes are contemplated at this time."

Robert Falzarano continues to receive treatment at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Gibbons has not received a recent update on his status, but as of May 7 Falzarano remained in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). A hospital spokesperson said Tuesday his position is "satisfactory."

The driver who struck the trio, James T. Hearon of Ward, Ark., was also admitted to Baptist Health but has been released.

Bill Sadler, a public information officer for the Arkansas State Troopers, said "troopers are awaiting toxicology and subpoenaed records" and the Lonoke County Prosecuting Attorney's office will ultimately decide whether to file charges against Hearon.
