Commuter Buses to End Service Wednesday

Buses will also run on an abbreviated schedule Wednesday.

Chatham Borough announced the charter bus service from the Chatham NJ Transit train station to midtown Manhattan will end Wednesday evening.

The first bus will leave the train station at 6 a.m. and drop off commuters at 33rd Street and 8th Avenue. The bus will return from the same location in Manhattan at 5:30 p.m.

The second bus will depart the train station at 7:10 a.m. and return at 6 p.m.

There will be no third bus.

The news comes two days after New Jersey Transit announced they have resumed limited train service on the Morris and Essex lines.

NJ Transit still offers free shuttle and ferry service from Madison, Convent and Chatham stations to Weehawken and on to Pier 79 in Manhattan, or to Liberty State Park and on to Battery Park.
