Collander Leads Uncontested Race in Borough

He received 340 votes, while Brian Perez led Democrats with 115 votes.

UPDATE: 11:29 p.m. Borough Council President James Collander led all votegetters in an uncontested primary for two council slots Tuesday.

Collander, who is running for re-election on the Republican ticket, received 340 votes, while fellow Republican Victoria Fife garnered 317. Brian Perez and Anna Tivade, the two Democrats running for the seats, received 115 and 113 votes, respectively.

Because there are only two people from each party in the running for two seats, all four candidates will advance to November's general election.
