Chatham Disposal officials said they will begin pickup at about 6am, so residents should put their trees out by their curbs by the night of Jan. 15.

Alternatively, residents can bring their trees to the Tanglewood Lane Recycling Depot. According to the township Web site, the depot is open Tuesdays from 8:30 to 11:30am and Saturdays from 8:30 am to noon.

Chatham Disposal officials said people should do that if they are unable to put their trees out to the curb by Jan. 16.

They should also do so if they miss the Jan. 16 deadline, since Chatham Disposal will not pick up the trees on any other day.

The borough's Christmas tree pickup took place Sunday, though the borough's Department of Public Works is still going around to collect trees that were not placed outside by then.
