Borough Adopts Final 2010 Budget (UPDATED)

It totals $13.8 million.

Chatham Borough adopted its final 2010 budget at a special meeting Thursday morning.

The budget totals $13.8 million. It is essentially the same as a previous version of the budget passed by the Borough Council April 12, but the Borough Council was forced to pass the budget again because the borough was taking in more revenue than it was putting out.

UPDATE: 12:10 p.m. Councilman Bruce Harris said two grants adopted earlier this year were mistakenly not included in the original budget. They totaled $30,000, so the budget was adjusted to reflect that amount as revenue. It reduced its surplus in the budget by that amount as well.
