Kathy Abbott, a Republican and 17-year resident of Chatham Township, is running for one of two available seats on the Chatham Township Committee. This will be her first term on the committee.

is the other Republican candidate for the second available committee seat. There are no Democrats running.

Election Day is Nov. 8. In-person voting is available for registered voters in the Morris County Clerk's Office Monday now through Monday, Nov. 7. The hours are as follows:

• Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 3
• Friday, Nov. 4, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Monday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The clerk's office is also accepting applications to vote by mail through Tuesday, Nov. 1. Applications may be downloaded directly from the Morris County Clerk's Office website.

• District 8 and 9 residents vote in the all-purpose room at the , 495 River Rd., (973) 635-8061.
