VIDEO: Prosecutor: Verdict Restores Hinds' Reputation

Robert A. Bianchi said Jose Feliciano will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi said a jury's finding of Jose Feliciano guilty on all counts restores the Rev. Edward Hinds' reputation and brings his killer to justice.

"Father Hinds' reputation has been restored resoundingly by how quickly this verdict came in and with a guilty on all charges," Bianchi said in a news conference outside the courthouse on Thursday after the verdict was read.

Bianchi thanked his trial partner, David Bruno, Morris County Prosecutor's Office Capt. Jeffrey Paul–who took a statement from Feliciano in which Feliciano confessed to the killing–members of the prosecutor's and sheriff's offices, and .

Bianchi said police interviews and forensics evidence were used to "obliterate the testimony of the defendant in this case."

"It's a great day for us. It couldn't have come at a better time at Christmas," he said. "And to the people at and all those who are the friends and family of Father Hinds, I'm glad to some measure we could bring justice and definitely, by this verdict, restore Father Hinds' reputation."
