Tree Falls Onto Occupied Car on River Road

The Chatham Emergency Squad responded to the scene and police blocked off River Road north of Southern Boulevard.

Chatham Township Police and the Chatham Emergency Squad were on the scene of an apparent fallen tree on River Road Wednesday afternoon. The tree reportedly struck an occupied car, police confirmed.

Orange cones blocked off the road as the car, which appeared to be a green SUV, was towed from the scene. Emergency Squad personnel appeared to be treating someone in their truck.
