Township Resident Arrested on Parole Violation

The 21-year-old man was wanted on a warrant.

Township Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Sunday on a warrant violation, police said in a press statement Tuesday.

While on patrol in Chatham Township on May 22 at 5 a.m., Patrolman Kelly Sretenovic observed a male walking in the roadway on Fairmount Avenue, according to police.

After speaking with the subject and a subsequent computer check, it was determined that the man, identified as Matthew C. Dudley of Chatham Township, was wanted on a warrant for parole violation, police said.

Dudley was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, and was later transported to Morris County Jail, according to police.

There was no bail set on the warrant, police said.
