Theft Reported on South Passaic Avenue, Jewelry Stolen

Borough police said the robbery likely took place June 14.

A thief took jewelry from a home on South Passaic Avenue while the homeowner was away last week, according to borough police.

Police said they reported to the scene of the crime Friday at 6:15 p.m. They said the burglar likely entered the home through a side window, and said the theft likely happened June 14.

Jewelry was taken from the home, and a list of stolen items is being compiled.

The Morris County Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene to look for evidence. The investigation is being undertaken by the borough's detective bureau.

Police also said they responded June 20 to a complaint of a GPS taken from a parked car on Kings Road.
