Teacher Accused of Allowing Underage Drinking in His Home

Borough man, 26, also charged with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.

A Chatham Borough man who teaches at Governor Livingston High School has been charged with allowing underage drinking in his home and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and Chatham Borough Police Chief Philip Crosson announced in a joint statement Thursday night.

Frank M. Melchiorre, 26, was charged on Nov. 3 with possessing under 50 grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, providing alcohol to someone under the age of 21 and allowing underage drinking in his home, according to a statement released by Crosson and Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi.

According to Bianchi, Melchiorre is a teacher at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights. The case remains under investigation.
