Summons Issued for Accident on Kings Road
17-year-old driver did not see stopped car in the street.
Borough police investigated an accident on Thursday, Aug. 26, which involved two young drivers on Kings Road.
According to police, the unnamed 17-year-old driver of a 2006 Honda rear-ended Tara Burroughs, 18, of Chatham Borough.
Burroughs had stopped her 2007 Toyota on Kings Road as she waited to turn into a driveway, according to a police news release dated Aug. 27. The 17-year-old driver told police that she did not see the car.

Police said that no injuries were reported and that the 17-year-old resident of Chatham Township was issued a summons for careless driving.
