Second Burglary in Week Reported in Township

Break-in likely occurred over the weekend.

A house was broken into this weekend, according to township police, and several rooms were ransacked in the process.

It is the second break-in township police have reported this week.

Police said that, in this instance, a home on Tree Top Lane was burglarized. The crime likely took place between 5 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday, according to police.

Police said they were alerted to the matter after a neighbor noticed the residence had been forcibly entered while its owners were not home. Upon investigation, it became apparent that some of the home's rooms had been ransacked.

A burglary at a home on Johnson Drive was reported at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. In that instance, a homeowner came home to find his house had been broken into. Several items were taken from that home.

Police said they are waiting for the homeowner on Tree Top Lane to inform them what has been stolen from the house.
