Down Pole Closes River Road
Tractor trailer hit utility pole in Summit during the overnight hours Saturday.
River Road was closed to traffic Saturday after a tractor trailer struck a utility pole around 2:30 a.m., Summit police and JCP&L said.
The repair work on the pole will take at least until 9 or 10 p.m., according to JCP&L spokesman Jerry Ricciardi. The road will remain closed at least until that time. Other utilities may have to do repair work in the area, Ricciardi also said.
