Resident Spots Black Bear on Crestwood Drive in Chatham Township

Police say they did not see the bear.

Chatham Township police said this morning a resident reported seeing a black bear at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday on Crestwood Drive.

Police said, however, that they did not see the bear when they arrived on scene.

A black bear had previously been spotted in Chatham Township June 8 near Southern Boulevard Elementary School. It eventually made its way into Madison.
