Cops: Two Teens Arrested in Township Drug Bust

Two teens were arrested on drug charges following a bust earlier this month at a Thornley Drive residence said Thursday.

Erik Bloom, 18, of Chatham Township, was charged with possession with intent to distribute over 1 ounce of marijuana, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Police also arrested a juvenile who was charged with possession with intent to distribute over one ounce of marijuana, possession of over 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.

According to police, members of the Chatham Township Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit executed a search warrant on a Thornley Drive residence on April 12 at about 7:45 a.m.

The search warrant was obtained by detectives after a three month investigation determined drugs were being distributed by occupants of the home, police said.

As a result of the investigation and subsequent search, two arrests were made, according to police.

Bloom was released after posting bail of $2,500, police said.

The juvenile was remanded to the Morris County Youth Correctional Facility and is awaiting a Superior Court Hearing, according to police.
