Police Arrest Solicitor, Supervisor on Warrants; Report Burglaries on Heritage Drive

A car and tools were reported stolen in separate incidents.

A solicitor and his supervisor who were working in the township were arrested after police learned warrants had been issued for them, according to township police.

Police said Donnell Williams, 26, of St. Louis, was soliciting business in the township for a company called Urban Development on Thursday. Police said when they went to check on the matter at 6 p.m., Williams was on Huron Drive, and said his supervisor was coming to pick him up.

But at 7:15 p.m., police said returned to find he had not been picked up. They also said they learned there was an active $200 warrant for him issued by Stafford Township, and so they arrested him and took him to police headquarters, where he was able to post the $200 in bail.

Williams's supervisor, Kevin Martin, 30, of Millington, Tenn., eventually came to get him, but when he arrived at police headquarters, police said they discovered there were multiple warrants issued for his arrest. They had been issued by Chatham Township, Morris Township, Midland Park, Park Ridge and Livingston and totaled $1,308, according to police.

Police said Martin was unable to post that amount in bail. He was arrested and taken to the Morris County Jail.
