Police Arrest Newark Man on Union Co. Warrant

arrested a Newark man when they discovered he had a no bail warrant out of Union County.

At 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, Patrolman Wayne Shivers stopped a 2006 Ford on Main Street, police said.

The driver of the Ford was identified as Tariq Barnes, 27, of Newark, according to police.

Police discovered Barnes had a warrant out of Union County and placed him under arrest, police said.

Barnes was held at headquarters until he was turned over to the Union County Sheriff's Office, according to police.
