One Accident, Two Arrests in Township
Police said five Plainfield residents were sent to Morristown Memorial Hospital after the accident Friday.
Police responded to a that occurred Friday at approximately 1:16 p.m. at the intersection of River Road and Southern Boulevard.
According to Chatham Township Police, Juana Solano, 35, of Plainfield was driving eastbound on River Road and turned left on Southern Boulevards in front of another vehicle on River Road traveling west.
Solano's passengers, employees of Merry Maids, were not wearing their seatbelts, according to Chatham Township Fire Chief Jim Pignatello, who also responded to the scene.

Driving While Suspended

Sgt. Robert Scheetz stopped a vehicle for having tinted windows at approximately 4:11 p.m. on April 10, according to township police.
Police said that a subsequent computer check determined that the driver, Louis Gallicchio, 48, of Bloomfield, NJ, had a suspended driver's license.
He was issued a summons for driving with tinted windows and another for driving while on the revoked list, police said. He was released with a May court date, according to police.
Driving While Suspended
Patrolman Brad Hayworth stopped a vehicle on Southern Boulevard Monday for an inspection violation, according to police.
A subsequent computer check determined that the license of the driver, Michael Mayes of Elizabeth, NJ, was suspended, police said.
Mayes was processed and issued a summons for driving with a suspended license, police said.
He has a court date scheduled in May, according to police.
