Multiple Burglaries at River Road Complex

Township police urge residents to take precautions and lock the doors to their homes and garages.

Chatham Township Police said they received reports of multiple burglaries at a condominium complex on River Road between Saturday and Monday.

Police said garages and vehicles were left unlocked, and various items such as GPS units, loose change, alcohol and miscellaneous property were stolen.

"The best defense against being victimized is to lock your doors," a press release from the Chatham Township Police stated. "Many garages and vehicles in the complex were bypassed, simply because they were locked."
