Glen Rock Man Charged with Theft

The following information was obtained directly from the Chatham Borough Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Department issued charges after an investigation into an incident of theft in December.

William Mirrer, Jr., 54, of Glen Rock was charged by Detective Daniel Walsh on Jan. 17, police said.

Mirrer was charged with the theft of $200 in cash from a wallet while he was at a medical facility on Main Street, according to police.

Police said Mirrer was identified because he was left alone with the handbag. The name of the victim was not released

The theft occurred in December and Mirrer was charged after a brief investigation, police said.

Mirrer was released on a summons pending further court action, according to police.
