Crosson To Be Sworn in As Borough Police Chief April 12

The current acting police chief stepped in to fill the job after former chief John Drake retired in December.

Acting Borough Police Chief Phillip Crosson will be sworn in as the borough's new full-time police chief at a Borough Council meeting April 12.

Crosson confirmed the move this morning.

The borough had been searching for a new police chief since former chief John Drake retired in December. The Borough Council accepted his retirement at its Dec. 14 meeting.

Crosson was sworn in as acting chief at that meeting.

Drake will be on terminal leave until April 1, and after that, his job as a department member will be finished. He has continued to consult with department members since December.
