Chatham Teen Arrested on Warrant

The following information was obtained directly from the Chatham Borough Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

said they arrested a local teen at a traffic stop when they discovered he had an outstanding warrant.

On Thursday, April 5, Patrolman Brian Maher stopped a 2004 Honda for failing to stop at a stop sign on Center Avenue at Weston Avenue, police said.

The driver of the car was identified as Peter Garrison, 18, of Chatham, according to police.

Police discovered Garrison had a $700 warrant out of West Milford Municipal Court, police said.

Garrison was arrested and brought to headquarters, where he was able to post bail, according to police.

Garrison was released pending further court action, police said.
