Chatham Resident Arrested for Suspended License, Posts Bail on Warrants

Police also arrested a separate motorist for driving with a suspended license.

Township police arrested a Chatham resident on Friday after learning two active warrants from nearby municipalities had been issued in the person's name.

Erin Lundstrom, of Chatham, was pulled over by township police after police noticed the car she was driving had lights out. Police said a computer check revealed her license was suspended, and said they learned Lundstrom had two active warrants from Verona and Berkeley Heights.

Lundstrom was arrested and charged with driving while suspended and failure to maintain lights. She posted bail on the two warrants and was released, according to police.

In a separate incident that took place Friday, police said they stopped a vehicle after a computer check revealed the registration on the vehicle had been suspended and expired since August of 2009.

Police said Carlos A. Pinto, of Belleville, was found to have a suspended license. He was arrested and charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving while suspended and failure to surrender license plates.

Police said he is awaiting a May court date.

On Saturday, police said, they arrested Anibal Castro, of Morristown, after they observed him acting suspiciously and stopped to investigate. Police said Castro had an active warrant from Parsippany.

Castro was arrested on the warrant and later posted bail.
