Cops: Chatham Man Exposed Himself in Parking Lot

arrested a 20-year-old Chatham Township man for allegedly committing a lewd act in the Hickory Square shopping center.
Patrick Murray, 20, of Chatham Township, was arrested Friday when he was allegedly found inside his car with his pants down, police said Monday.
Police responded to the shopping center Wednesday at 2:15 p.m., when a 79-year-old Madison resident reported seeing a male sitting in a vehicle parked next to hers with his pants down and was exposing himself, according to police.

Officers were able to obtain enough information to identify the man, who had left the scene prior to their arrival, police said.
On Friday at 9:30 a.m., Det. Christopher Slayton interviewed and subsequently charged Murray with committing a lewd act.

Murray was processed and released on his own recognizance, pending a municipal court appearance, police said.
