Burglary Reported on Girard Avenue

The thief broke in through a side door.

Several items were stolen from a Girard Avenue home Friday after burglars broke in to the house, according to borough police.

Police said a pet sitter discovered the burglary at 7:30 p.m. when she went to take care of some pets. The thefts likely occurred between 10 a.m. and that time, according to police.

The burglar, according to police, entered the home by breaking a window in a side door and made off with a number of items. The homeowners are now making a list of items that were taken.
