At the same time, police said, a second car driven by a black male left the lot. The driver told the victim he would catch the man who stole her car, police said.

Both cars were last seen heading east on Main Street, according to police.

About an hour later, the stolen car was located on Parrot Mill Road using tracking technology built into the car, police said.

Witnesses on Parrot Mill Road reported a black male exited the stolen car quickly, got into a second dark-colored vehicle and left the area, according to police.

The driver of the stolen vehicle was described as a black male wearing a jacket and a skull cap, police said.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to process the car for evidence, according to police.
