Borough Police Arrest Two on Warrants

Arrests come after police reported two others were taken into custody on warrants last week.

Two non-Chatham men were arrested on warrants by borough police in the past few days.

* Devyn Murrell, 20, of Morristown, was arrested Friday by borough police on two active warrants issued by the municipalities of Florham Park and Union Township.

Police said Officer Daniel Walsh initiated a motor vehicle stop on Main Street after he spotted a 1994 Pontiac following another vehicle too closely. According to police, Murrell was driving the 1994 Pontiac, and police said the warrants were discovered through a customary check.

Police said Walsh stopped Mondesir's vehicle on Main Street for a traffic violation, and a customary check indicated Mondesir's driving privileges were suspended. It also showed there was an active warrant for his arrest, according to police.

Mondesir was transported to police headquarters, where he posted $89 in bail. He was issued a summons for driving while suspended and then released.

Two others were arrested by borough police on active warrants last week.
